Features of the FTH Gencon Control

NEW FEATURES

  1. Automatic starting cycle - glow plugs automatically energized.

  2. Faults like low oil pressure and coolant over temperature automatically shut down unit and alert the operator with fault codes

  3. Heater Fan can be operated when the unit is off - allowing air circulation while you are driving.

  4. Panel lights automatically dim in low light conditions

  5. Hour meter displays accumulated run time even when unit is off.  Blinking icon indicates that unit is running.

2 Engine Running Modes:

  1. "ON" - engine runs continuously - heater or A/C is cycled to maintain set temperature

  2. "AUTO" - engine starts and stops to maintain set temperature - saving you even more fuel! In this mode, unit continuously monitors battery voltage and will start automatically and run for 1 hour if the battery voltage drops below 12.2 volts.

  3. In either mode, the "NO FREEZE" setting will cycle heat on at 41 degrees F and run until the bunk is 59 degrees F  - protecting your bunk and it's contents from freezing.

The Engine Controller is as rugged environmentally sealed assembly that is mounted inside the engine compartment. It has a 40 pin heavy duty sealed connector approved for "under the hood" environments and is supplied to many truck and mobile equipment manufacturers.  Integrated into the epoxy sealed controller are solid state overload protected switches that eliminate the troublesome mechanical relays.

The engine wiring harness provided replaces all of your old engine wiring.  The connecting cable that runs to the bunk is a simple 3 wire rubber jacketed cable that makes the three module  interconnection very straightforward.
